In addition to health consequences, the COVID-19 pandemic in Tunisia has also had significant negative economic consequences, which will particularly affect poor population groups - and children in particular - with significant consequences for their education, nutrition and health situation. The largely informal activities for generating income among poor population groups are being impaired or are no longer possible. As part of the project, transfer payments are being made to beneficiary, pre-selected households for social security for children and young people aged 0-18. In addition, communication campaigns are being carried out on the relevance of school attendance, balanced nutrition, vaccinations, child well-being and the existing national complaints mechanism.
