Description

Description

The proposed multi-region technical assistance (TA) will support three developing member countries (DMCs), Bangladesh, Thailand, and Timor Leste, to reduce risks from extreme heat, by increasing investments that strengthen resilience in key sectors and address gendered vulnerabilities. The TA will integrate extreme heat and gender-responsive adaptation into sectoral investment projects and decision-making tools through stakeholder consultations, climate and gender assessments, and project design integration, followed by national consultations. Sectoral analyses will identify country-specific risks and adaptation options, while knowledge products and tools will be developed, validated, and disseminated. The TA is expected to result in at least four sectoral investment projects integrating extreme heat adaptation and the development of sectoral guidance and tools to support DMCs for future climate and gender-responsive investment decisions.
