Description
Description | The IQI03 project was qualified at the 9th Meeting of the PPI council through Resolution No. 52, of 05/08/2019, converted into Decree No. 9,972, of 08/14/2019. It is a port terminal lease, with an area of 25,416 m², dedicated to the movement of liquid bulk, especially fuel, located in the Organized Port of Itaqui/MA. The lease contract will be signed through a bidding process in the auction format, the selection criterion of which will be the highest grant value. With an expected exploration period of 20 years. Part of the area designated for the project is brownfield, occupied by assets (tanks and equipment), currently used in the exploration of the area through Transition Contracts nº 03/2017 and nº 09/2017, by Ipiranga Produtos de Petróleo S.A. The other portion of the area is greenfield, 5,351.33 m² and is foreseen in the Expansion Plan of the Port of Itaqui/MA. The investment forecast for the future tenant is R$ 106.5 million, which will bring an increase in static capacity by at least 26,000 m³, reaching a total static storage capacity of at least 46,406 m³, from the 4th year of contract. The importance of offering the fuel sector adequate investment alternatives in new terminals and new contracts is highlighted, which contributes to guaranteeing regional supply, stimulates competition in the sector and promotes increased port efficiency through expansion, modernization and optimization of infrastructure and superstructure, in addition to ensuring reasonable tariffs and prices charged in the sector. The studies presented were contracted by the Maranhense Port Administration Company – EMAP, through competition no. 001/2017, and donated to the Ministry of Infrastructure. A notice and its annexes were published and can be accessed at the link: http://web.antaq.gov.br/sistemas/leilaointernetv2/PaginaPrincipal.aspx. Regarding the environmental viability of the project, it should be noted that, as it is a brownfield area, any risks that could impact the project have already been overcome. The IQI03 area has Operating License No. 1139902/2017, which allows the storage and distribution of petroleum products and derivatives, alcohol and biodiesel. The validity of said license is 12/18/2021. |
