Description | IRM Solar Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of IRM Group Bhd, was developing the 5 MW solar plant in Padang Besar. The developer was granted Feed-in Tariff approval by the Sustainable Energy Development Board (SEDA) for the project, reported in March 2012. The FiT was to commence in April 2013, for a period of 21 years. The developer was expected to supply the output to Tenaga Nasional Bhd via a PPA with the utility and SEDA. The FiT was part of the GoM initiative under the Renewable Energy Act. Commissioning was expected for 2013.
