Description | The Iron Spur solar project is a 140-MWdc utility-scale solar development located in West Texas near Snyder. Construction has begun and is expected to complete in early 2029, with full commercial operation scheduled thereafter. The solar farm will generate around 317 GWh of electricity annually. Energea is providing financing for the construction, including up to USD 5 million in secured convertible financing, with an initial investment of USD 762,000 through its Solar in the USA portfolio. The funding structure allows income during construction and the option to convert debt into a majority equity stake as the project advances. |
