Description | A legal dispute over Target's control of development rights at the former Irondequoit Mall could determine how the property can be redeveloped. The County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency (COMIDA) is seeking to remove Target's contractual rights by eminent domain to free up Skyview Drive for development, allowing the mall to attract diverse new tenants and end users beyond traditional retail. The redevelopment area includes space between the community center and senior housing, as well as a large parking lot area. Redevelopment has already included senior apartments and a new four-story building, along with community and educational facilities. |
