Description | The Iroquois Gas Transmission's Enhancement by Compression (ExC) project aims to increase horsepower at three compression stations—two in New York and one in Connecticut—by an additional 125 MMcf/d to flow more Marcellus/Utica gas into New York City and New England. The New York Department of Environmental Conservation approved permits for the New York compressors with a condition for a $1.5 million contribution to a community benefit program. The project is awaiting a permit from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for the Brookfield compressor, which has been on hold since June of the previous year. |
