Ismaili Center Houston

completed

The Ismaili Center in Houston is the first such center in the United States and the seventh globally. It is a multi-faceted space for worship, culture, learning, and community life, designed with a fusion of climate-conscious design, contemporary structural thinking, traditional Islamic architecture, spatial logic, and civic ambition. The center features a tripartite structure with eivans (verandas), a five-story central atrium, and extensive gardens inspired by Islamic garden philosophy and local ecology. It accommodates approximately 1,500 worshippers and includes spaces for social, cultural, educational, and community activities.
