Description | Asset manager Sosteneo SGR SpA has agreed to buy an Italian agricultural biomethane portfolio, which includes four fully permitted projects in Lombardy. The deal covers a combined production capacity of around 1,500 standard cubic metres per hour. The plants are currently under construction and are expected to begin commercial operations by mid-2026. All of them have secured access to Italy’s renewable gas incentive framework through participation in Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE) auctions. The transaction is being executed on behalf of clients in Sosteneo’s first flagship fund and a co-investment vehicle. It marks the final investment of the fund, which the company said has now been fully deployed after just over three years. Sosteneo focuses on construction-ready greenfield energy transition infrastructure projects. The company is part of Generali Investments. |
