The existing line has a 400-kV DC connection with abi-directional transport capacity of 500 MW of electricity. The scope of work includes the development of infrastructure to support an additional 500MW of electricity with a 200 km long transmission line.The existing line connects Galatina electricity station in Leece, Italy to Arachthos power station in Greece via a 300 km long cable comprising 43 km of terrestrial cable, 160 km long submarine cable, and 110 km of overhead lines. |
