IU Health New $2.3 Billion Hospital

IU Health is constructing a new $2.3 billion hospital complex in downtown Indianapolis to modernize and consolidate its downtown campus. The hospital will have over 800 rooms, including 50 operating rooms and a behavioral health unit with 32 beds. The design includes spacious, adaptable patient rooms with private in-patient rooms, family zones, and clinician corners. The hospital will consolidate Methodist and University Hospitals into one facility connected by underground tunnels and will have three towers with helipads. The project is planned as a 50 to 75 year investment with potential for future expansion.
