The project involves using a 9.3-metre diameter TBM to develop a 4-kilometre concrete-lined decline tunnel, enabling faster and more predictable underground mine development compared to conventional methods. The TBM acquisition includes an integrated material handling system and aims to support a 20,000 tonnes per day underground operation with a 23-year mine life. The project is on track for construction commencement in 2026, with first copper cathode production targeted for Q2 2029. |
