Description

Description

The Project includes several elements to improve COVID and patient safety measures: 1. Air Handling Unit Replacement in Children’s Building - Current unit is deteriorating. It is housed on the top of the Children’s building. Significant rusting damage - floor pans are gone and rusted out, multiple recent repairs to the coils. Struggles greatly in cold temperatures. 2. Air Handling System Improvements in Women’s & Link Buildings - The unit currently supplying critical care areas (i.e. NICU, PICU, Emerg., and Dentistry) does not have enough capacity to meet needs. The air handling distribution system with be reconfigured to balance loads with another unit that has available capacity to ensure all areas have an adequate air supply. 3. Hand Sink Replacements (Women’s Building) - Current inpatient hand hygiene sinks are not meeting handwashing infection control and patient / staff safety requirements and need to be replaced (Women’s 5th & 7th floors). 4. Sliding Door Installations - Current privacy drapes / curtains provide minimal privacy between patients / families and are a challenge to maintain (infection control concerns). Replacing drapes with sliding doors in FATC to meet CSA privacy standards, infection control and safety requirements.
