Description | Mumbai's J J School of Art will get a state-of-the-art museum to showcase over 3,500 rare paintings and house art galleries for budding artists. The project includes an archives section with climate-controlled vaults and research stations for digitised and physical collections. The proposed three-storey building has received approval from the higher education minister and will follow heritage guidelines. The ground floor will have a temperature-and-humidity-controlled art gallery and a modern auditorium for events. Stringent security measures will be implemented to protect the artefacts. |
