Jabodetabek Railway Capacity Enhancement Phase 1

ongoing

The project aims to enhance the railway capacity in the Jakarta capital region of Indonesia. The chronic congestion in transportation, especially in passenger and freight transport, has led to severe problems such as chronic traffic jams, which are exacerbated by air pollution. The government is taking steps to address the traffic congestion, but the increasing transportation needs in the future require additional enhancements, including strengthening existing public transport services and establishing new large-scale urban transport systems. The project also supports the improvement of investment and urban environmental improvement in the country.
