Description | The Jackson County Solar project is a 125 MW solar power facility located in Jackson County, Michigan. It is expected to generate more than $70 million in direct economic impact for local communities, create around 300 construction jobs, and produce enough electricity to cover the annual consumption of 33,600 households. The project will also reduce annual CO2 emissions by 161,300 metric tons. Construction is assigned to Barnhart Energy Company and commissioning is scheduled for 2026. |
