Description | The Jagraon Bridge in Ludhiana, a key connector in the industrial city, suffered damage including collapse of supporting walls at three places due to heavy rains and rat infestation. Repair work includes reconstruction of a 150-metre support wall to stabilize the structure and plans to widen the bridge on both sides near Vishwakarma Chowk. Experts from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College have been engaged for detailed structural study and planning. Heavy vehicle movement has been restricted on one side to prevent further damage.
