JISL is India’s one of the largest integrated agribusiness players with operations spanning the agricultural value chain including: provider of micro-irrigation systems; production of plastic sheets, pipes and fittings; and processed fruits and vegetables (JISL is the largest mango puree producer in the world and the 2nd largest dehydrated onion producer). While the Company’s headquarters are located in Jalgaon in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, JISL and its subsidiaries operate 25 production facilities for MIS, plastic pipes, plastic sheets, dehydrated vegetables and processed fruits in India, USA, UK, Spain, Turkey, Chile, Brazil and Israel.To meet the demands of its growing business, JISL is implementing an investment program during 2012-2014, which includes: expansion of the Company’s Indian production of MIS, food processing, and plastic pipes; and expansion of its MIS plant in Turkey (the “Project”). IFC is considering investment in JISL to finance this Project.
