Description	The Janaúba Photovoltaic Complex is located in the municipality of Janaúba in the north of Minas Gerais, with a capacity to generate 700MW of clean power for Brazil’s electricity grid. The complex comprises of 14 solar plants. Elera Renováveis, the energy arm of Canadian asset manager Brookfield is developing the project. Total project cost is BRL 2,040.00m (USD 389.39m). BNDES finances the complex with a loan to the amount of BRL 1,470.00m (USD 280.59m). The rest of the financing is provided via sponsor's equity. Financial Closure was achieved in May 2021. Installation of the plants is expected to create 1,265 jobs.
