Description | The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Trade and Environment will conduct trans-disciplinary research across the institution and in collaboration with our international partners, culminating in high-quality publications, policy reports, and inform new educational resources and policy debate in this important field. The Centre will promote the creation of new knowledge and the exchange of best practice between people and institutions with mutual research interests in the field of trade and environment throughout the European Union, Australia and the Asia Pacific via the following activities: •Transnational and Multidisciplinary Research Projects •A Competitive Research Grant Scheme •Publication of Policy Briefs on Trade and Environment Informed by the cutting-edge research seeded by the Institute for International Trade’s Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in International Trade and Global Affairs and with a renewed focus on issues relating to trade and environment, the new Centre will deliver the following activities in order to promote excellence in research through innovation and collaboration across disciplines and institutions throughout the European Union, Australia and the Asia Pacific: •Embed and deepen research in the field of Trade and Environment •Deliver academic workshops In addition to facilitating collaborative academic activities across disciplines and institutions based in other countries, the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Trade and Environment will also extend and enrich the deep dialogue established with government, business and civil society through the former EU Centre for Global Affairs (2014-18) and our existing Jean Monnet Centre of International Trade and Global Affairs (2018-22) •A dedicated website •Research webinars •Roundtable discussions/workshops |
