Jean Monnet Actions for other fields of Education and Training: Learning EU in Pajuris Stanislovas Birziskis Gymnasium This project is an important educational initiative aimed at strengthening students' and teachers' understanding of the European Union and encouraging their active participation in civic activities. The development of European integration and civic awareness is becoming increasingly important in order to prepare the younger generation for life in an ever-changing global context. The project focuses on integrating EU subjects into general education school curricula. The project is based on the 6C competence development framework - critical thinking, creativity, cooperation, communication, citizenship and cultural awareness. Students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge about the EU, but will also develop the skills necessary for active and conscious participation in society. Emphasis is placed on practical learning, including debates, project activities, simulations and interactive tasks. The integration of European Union topics will be carried out through various lessons in order to ensure an interdisciplinary approach. The project envisages the creation of a comprehensive set of electronic teaching tools that will facilitate the work of teachers and promote innovative teaching methods. This kit will include interactive tasks, videos, tests and examples of good practice. It will also include dissemination plans and an analysis of EU teaching methodologies, with the aim of ensuring that the knowledge and experience gained are widely applied even after the end of the project. The project pays special attention to priority areas such as climate change, international cooperation and multiculturalism. Students will analyse the impact of EU policies in these areas, assess possible solutions and participate in various initiatives to promote sustainability.
