JEF Europe is a European network with national sections and volunteers in more than 30 European countries and activities outreaching more than 5 millions Europeans on yearly level through campaigns, capacity building opportunities, social media actions and webzine. In 2024, JEF Europe will focus on six key areas in the framework of this operating grant: general organisational management, policy and advocacy, communications, capacity building, re-granting to sections and evaluation and monitoring. The year will foresee a lot of renewed motivation for active citizenship and volunteering, and will continue to bring together young people for statutory events to discuss the present and future of Europe. It will also focus advocacy-wise on the follow-up of the Conference on the Future of Europe, especially on pushing for Treaty Change, the upcoming European elections in 2024, enlargement and promoting peace through engaging with the situation in Ukraine according to the scope of the organisation. Thirdly, the focus of JEF Europe on capacity building will continue, and will have a thematic focus on supporting the participation of ethnic and linguistic minorities in all democratic structures in Europe. Fourth, this year will see further upscaling of communications strategies and will ensure the reach out to a wider audience in Europe. Fifth, JEF Europe will launch again a re-granting scheme for its members, building on the experiences of 2023. Lastly, a thorough evaluation and monitoring process will hold all other activities together.
