The proposed investment involves an A Loan for IFC’s own account of up €6 million; a B Loan of up to €20 million and a C Loan for IFC’s account of up to €4 million to finance a greenfield wind power plant (“Jelinak WPP”) totaling 30 MW in the northwest of Splitsko-Dalmatinska region, 5 km from the coastline. Jelinak WPP is wholly-owned by Vjetroelektrana Jelinak d.o.o, a limited liability company incorporated under Croatian Law and wholly owned by Acciona Energia (AE) International. Construction of the project took place during the year 2012 and commercial operation of the wind farm started in January 2013.The project is comprised of twenty 1.5 MW wind turbines set approximately 230 m apart; access roads; a 12 kW cable network linking the towers; and a sub-station connecting the windfarm to the existing 110 kV Bilice-Trogir overhead transmission line. The towers are 80 m high and the turbine blades 82 m in diameter, with a tip height of 120 m.
