The project involves the construction of the Jerusalem Wind Complex in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The complex comprises of 6 wind farms. It will be able to generate enough clean power to meet the demand of 270,000 local homes. The project also includes the construction of 27 km of transmission lines and an energy substation. The Jerusalem Complex will have an installed capacity of 180.6 MW, to be added to the national interconnected system. For its developing there are 6 special purpose vehicles – Centrais Eólicas Jerusalem SA I to VI. The SPVs are controlled by Jerusalem Holding, which is managed by EDP Renováveis ??Brasil. The project cost is BRL 568m (around USD 107m) and it was financed by BNDES.
