Description

This project involves the construction of a 6.7 MW mini hydroelectric power station in the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyz Republic. The project includes the development and installation of hydroelectric infrastructure aimed at enhancing the country's renewable energy capacity and reducing its energy deficit. Once operational, the facility is expected to contribute to Kyrgyz Republic's energy independence by supplying clean and sustainable electricity to the region. The sponsors for this initiative are Bishkek Stroy Konstruktsiya and Bishkek Temir, with financial support from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF). The RKDF has allocated $5.5 million toward the total project cost of $7.8 million, underscoring its commitment to bolstering Kyrgyzstan's energy sector.
