The Jhajjar KT Power Transmission Project was a groundbreaking initiative undertaken by Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) in collaboration with The Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL). The project aimed to strengthen the power transmission infrastructure in the region and facilitate the smooth transfer of electricity. Under the DBFOT VGF model, KPTL undertook the responsibility of designing, building, financing, operating, and maintaining the transmission system. The project included the construction of a 100 km Transmission Line and the establishment of two 400kV Substations. These infrastructural components played a crucial role in transmitting power from the generation sources to the distribution network. The Jhajjar KT Power Transmission Project was successfully commissioned in March 2012, marking a significant milestone in the power transmission sector. With a concession period of 25 years, the project operated under the ownership of KPTL, ensuring the efficient management of the transmission system. Moreover, there was a provision for a possible extension of the concession period by another 10 years, allowing for long-term sustainability.
