Description | The Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC) has issued draft transmission tariff regulations for the control period from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031. These regulations guide the determination of transmission tariffs in Jharkhand, promoting competition, efficiency, optimal resource use, and investment in the transmission sector. The regulations apply to all intra-state transmission licensees under cost-based or ARR-based tariff models, excluding tariff-based competitive bidding projects. The Multi-Year Tariff (MYT) framework will be implemented from FY 2026-27 to FY 2030-31, requiring licensees to submit business plans, capital investment plans, and detailed ARR projections. The regulations include mechanisms for performance evaluation, incentive and penalty frameworks, truing-up, and annual performance reviews, aiming to ensure cost-effective and reliable transmission infrastructure development and maintenance in Jharkhand. |
