Description | Sino-French was granted a concession agreement in August 2007 to rehabilitate and operate a potable water treatment plant serving a population of 6 million in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The project was procured via competitive bidding (there were 4 bids). Sino-French would operate the facilities for 30 years before transferring them back to the local government. Sino French Water Development Company Limited (SFWD)was joint venture established by SUEZ in France and New World Development Company Ltd. The investment in government assets was RMB 450 million (US$ 59.13 million) and the investment in facility was RMB 445 million (US$ 58.48 million). Sino-French owns 49% of the project. |
