This coal-fired, 36MW, combined heat and power plant was sponsored by Alliant Energy International (50%) and Jiaxing Heat and Power Plant (50%). Terms of the contract were for 15 years. Power and steam were to be sold to local customers. Investment date was in December 1996 though specific project cost was not disclosed by the sponsor. As of August 2001, Alliant's investments in China amounted to a total of 500MW spread across 9 projects. Total investments in these projects were approximately US$150 million. Most of these investments were made through Peak Pacific Investment Company, a development company which Alliant had a 93.5% stake. For most of its investments in China, Alliant contributed equity while the local counterpart contributed assets. None None |
