The owner of the facility is Honduras’ Inversiones de Generación Eléctricas (Ingelsa), which in turn is controlled by manufacturing firm Hermacasa. IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the Inter-American Development Bank, has approved a $20.25 million loan to fund construction of a 14.8MW hydro project in Honduras. Total project cost will be USD 75.60m.
