The JITA KYOEI 2 is a 36-month Collaborative Partnership Erasmus+ project, involving 8 organisations from 7 different countries that aim to promote integrity and values in sport and education in and through sport. By providing awareness, education and support to sports clubs, coaches and young athletes, we will be contributing to the personal and professional development of the coaches and youth. In the words of Jigoro Kano, Jita Kyoei teaches us that each member of society and the groups organized within must function in harmony and cooperation with others. Nothing is more important than living prosperously together. In today’s world of multiculturalism and different world views, is getting even more important to respect each other and accept our differences. Sport and judo, in particular, can be great tools to achieve this goal. Judo can instil values, build character, and develop social and problem-solving skills, allowing you to stay focused and in good shape. It can also be of significant help to develop values like respect, discipline, and perseverance. Our consortium is composed of Sports clubs/organisations, National Federation and European Judo Union (the umbrella organization), from different countries such as Slovenia, Croatia, Portugal, Romania, Spain, France and Austria (Head office of P2. EJU). Each organization will involve their project managers, researchers/experts, trainers and technicians, that will work together to attain the aims of the project. Each partner will be assigned a role and take responsibility for the delivery of different tasks.
