Construções JJR & Filhos Moçambique, Lda. is a Mozambican company incorporated in 2010, whose activity focuses on civil construction and public works, earthworks, drainage, paving and other ancillary works. This JJR Group company, based in Leiria, is the result of the internationalization process that it began from an entrepreneurial perspective, strategically directing its activity towards the segment of small and medium-sized works in the Mozambican market, associated with the maintenance, conservation and improvement of highways and other complementary activities. The project supported by SOFID is based on the acquisition of industrial, transport and other light equipment necessary to equip a local support yard and develop the company's activity. SOFID's participation resulted in financing for the Group's parent company, in Portugal, to carry out supplies to its Mozambican subsidiary, making up 25% of the total investment. At the beginning of the project, the company envisaged the creation of 107 direct jobs, using only 8 expatriates, and plans to implement, in the Mozambican unit, the same demanding standards that guide the Group's activity in Portugal in terms of social responsibility and environmental. The project also provides for the transfer of know-how and technical skills, through specific training plans for employees.
