Description
Description | JMI strives for a world where every child has access to music. However, the current covid-19 pandemic has put on hold the main purposes of the arts sector, hurting the fabric on which the EU is built & disrupting the value chain both for JMI as an organisation & for the musicians. We are now forced to rethink our approaches as we need to create a positive narrative that restores confidence in arts & culture as triggers of positive societal change. The aim of the project is hence to contribute to the development of a bigger, better stronger & more relevant cultural sector. Specific objectives: CONNECT: more cross-sectoral & geographical collaborations; more international exchanges, live or digital; more global outreach; more cultural workers engaged internationally. EMPOWER: become agents of change contributing to the socio-economic & cultural development of communities; more competitive cultural operators for musicians & audiences; more inclusion & representation in the music industry focusing on gender equality; develop new generations of young audiences. ENGAGE: recognize & multiply best practices in societal change triggered by arts & culture, focusing on engagement of emerging audiences, environmental sustainability, human rights & freedom of expression. IMPACT: more resilient & flexible cultural operators/org.; more sustainable music sector through diversified funding; robust M& that initiate internal change & influence the immediate environment; more information on opportunities that actively engage cultural operators in society. To achieve this, JMI will realize: 9 regional/global events; 12 study visits; 8 cross-sectoral stakeholders meetings; 16 Training for cultural operators; 21 Campaigns & Awards; 30 Podcasts & Vlogs; 5 dedicated training toolkits tackling challenges connected to gender, environmental sustainability, resilience, social inclusion & internationalization. The project targets and empowers 2000 individuals and indirectly benefit 90000. |
