GroFin Africa Fund is a private equity fund that supports small businesses in various African countries with debt capital as well as advisory services. The fund contributes financially to the growth of SMEs that do not have access to credit from commercial banks, are too large for microfinance institutions and are not the target clientele of private equity funds. The fund focuses on the following countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Zambia and South Africa. The fund aims to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by supporting women entrepreneurs in particular in accessing finance. In addition, GroFin's loans represent stable long-term financing that indirectly contributes to economic development in Africa.
