Description | The Joel Joel battery project is a 250 MW, 1000 MWh (four hour) battery to be connected to the grid near Neoen’s Bulgana green energy hub near Stawell, Victoria. It was the first project approved under the Victorian Government’s accelerated renewable energy planning process. The project will use grid-forming inverters and provide essential grid services such as frequency regulation and peak load management. ACEnergy is working through procurement and community engagement, aiming to start construction in Q1 2026. |
