Description | This project involves the construction of the Rapid Transit System (RTS), which will link Bukit Chagar station in Johor Baru to the Singapore terminus in Woodlands.The scope of the PPP contract entails the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the operating assets of the line, including track, signaling and rolling stock, for a period of 30 years. Starting with 5 trains, the line will eventually feature a fleet of 7. They will carry up to 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction and run on average every 8 minutes, increasing to every 4 minutes during rush hours. |
