Description
Description | The M3EP project unites five leading universities with the common aim of designing, inaugurating, and implementing a novel Joint Master programme that will graduate the next generation of experts versed in European Environmental Economics & Policy in order to help realize the European Union’s vision of a European Green Deal and to help achieve its long-term objective of the EU’s Environmental Action Programme of Europeans living well, within planetary boundaries, in a well-being, zero-waste economy. Central planks of the European Green Deal and the Environmental Action Programme require disciplinary and trans-disciplinary expertise in environmental economics and politics for their implementation across public bodies, in non-governmental organizations, in businesses and in society at large. The aim of M3EP is to meet the needs for these experts across the many sectors involved. M3EP will do so by harnessing for its transnational programme existing national excellence in training postgraduate students in environmental economics and in environmental policy. Charles University Prague, the University of Copenhagen, Heidelberg University, the University of Milan, and the University of Warsaw are committed to jointly carry this vision forward. Key outputs of the Erasmus Mundus Design Measure stage will be final drafts of (1) a Joint Partnership Agreement, (2) a Joint Student Agreement, and (3) a Joint Programme Implementation Agreement governing the administrative and financial management, the joint degree policy as well as the common services offered to students of the M3EP Joint Master, the Consortium’s promotion and dissemination activities and (4) a joint Design Manual as the key deliverable for setting into motion the accreditation process. Together these four outputs lay the ground for launching the Joint Master in European Environmental Economics and Policy. |
