Joliet Technology Center Data Center Campus

planned

The project involves the annexation of approximately 795 acres surrounding S. Rowell Road and Bernhard Road in Joliet, Illinois, to develop a data center campus in four future phases. The development will include 24 principal data center buildings with a total buildout of approximately 6,936,000 gross square feet. The data center will create approximately 7,000-10,000 union construction jobs and 700 permanent jobs at full buildout. The project includes a $100 million community benefit contribution to the City of Joliet and is expected to generate substantial property and utility tax revenues. The development will use a closed-loop water recycling system and has undergone studies for noise, lighting, water use, electrical grid impact, and traffic impact.
