It features a 3,500-ton cable carousel (upgradeable to 7,000 tons), vertical injectors, dynamic positioning, and multiple-anchor positioning systems for accurate cable installation in coastal and nearshore environments. The barge will be crewed by American mariners under Crowley's operation and is intended to support projects like Equinor's Empire Wind offshore New York, as well as telecoms and other subsea cable needs.
