Jordan : Strengthening civil protection and relief capacities

This pilot project is carried out with the Jordanian civil protection. Its overall objective is to contribute to improving the quality of the public service for the population. The project has two specific objectives:build the risk prevention and preparation capacities,improve the quality of the services delivered at local level and align the operational capacities with the risks in Mafraq Governorate.With co-implementer Expertise France, the project supports institutional capacity for disaster risk management. It combines work on assessing hazard, exposure and vulnerability, along with response planning and hence preparedness while accompanying training capacities of PSD-JCD. The procured equipment will provide additional operational capacities or replace an ageing or inadequate fleet.
