Description

Description

The proposed operation, ISSF 2.0, builds upon the successes and lessons learned from the Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF) project (which will close in June 2025), as a way to further enhance the availability of early-stage financing to startups in Jordan. The new project integrates an updated design when it comes to key components as well as governance and implementation arrangements. ISSF 2.0 comprises of three components: (i) Fund of Funds investments, including pre-seed and seed investments to catalyze the pipeline; (ii) Co-investing in startups with lead VC and institutional investors; and (iii) Project management, implementation, and capacity building support. It will capitalize on ISSF's established position as a respected ecosystem leader both in Jordan and internationally. By leveraging ISSF's strategic partnerships with VC funds, there is a significant opportunity to elevate Jordan's profile as an attractive investment destination.
