Description	Jordan Solar One developed a 20 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Al Mafraq, north of the Jordanian capital, Amman, on a 20 year build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) basis. The scope of work also included construction of a 13KM 33kV transmission line connecting to Al Hassan substation. The project is expected to generate around 47 GWh of electricity enough to serve 9,000 customers. All output generated by the power plant was to be sold to Jordan’s National Electric Power Company (“NEPCO”) under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”). Canadian AMP Solar Group (“AMP”) was the majority shareholder (67%) in Jordan Solar One. California based Evolution Solar (17% shareholding) and RAI Energy International (13% shareholder) were the other shareholders in Jordan Solar One. The total project cost was estimated at USD 70 million. The project's loan agreements were signed in October 2014.
