Description | Caterpillar and Wheeler Machinery have finalized an agreement with Joule Capital Partners to supply 4 GW of prime combined heat and power (CHP) and battery storage system to power a future data center campus in central Utah. The package includes Caterpillar's G3520K generator sets, equipment to provide electricity and capture waste heat for cooling, 1.1 GWh of grid-forming battery energy storage, and backup power from diverse fuel sources. The system will interconnect with the Intermountain West grid and directly connect to the data center campus. Caterpillar and Wheeler will provide technical services including design, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning. |
