Jour2Fête's Application for the 2025 'European Film Sales' Grant

We would like to submit our application for the 2025 'European Film Sales' Grant. Jour2Fête is convinced that the circulation of films across the European Union can contribute to the exchange of ideas, and the birth of necessary debates between the population of Europe, to the creation of common culture shared by the EU citizens. We've already been working on the release of long-feature films over the past few years (such as 'Slalom', 'A Son'...) with the support of MEDIA, and the success of those previous projects reinforced our motivation to reiterate such experiences. The contribution of the MEDIA Sales Agent Program to our project would be dual, as we plan to acquire and release two to three European non-national films each year. First of all, the support will enable us to acquire new films and reinforce our recent collaborations with European producers, newcomers, or primed European directors we just started to work with (Stéphane Ly-Cuong, Runar Runarsson, Mehdi M. Barsaoui...) that we believe could have a good potential of success with European audiences. On the other hand, it will enable our company to finance the expenses related to the promotion, distribution and valorisation of those projects, and offer them the visibility they deserve.
