Description
Description | JPS Health Network is opening a new psychiatric emergency center to expand treatment for mental health crises. The center is a standalone building next to the main JPS hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and quadruples the bed space for mental health patients. It operates 24/7 like an emergency room but is dedicated solely to behavioral health crises. The new center improves access by allowing direct entry and has separate treatment spaces for adults and adolescents. It is part of a $2.5 billion construction plan to update the hospital's infrastructure, funded by cash savings and $800 million in bond proceeds approved in 2018. |
