Description | The Judge D. Connett Jr. Juvenile Justice Center in St. Joseph, Missouri, is undergoing an expansion to increase its capacity and improve safety features. The expansion includes modern design features such as state-of-the-art security electronics, integrated TV systems, access control, and prefabricated steel jail cells. The facility will increase its bed capacity to 24 to better accommodate juveniles needing detention and enhance community safety. The project is funded by Buchanan County and is scheduled to open in Fall 2027. |
