The Judicial Modernization Project will improve the country's judicial system to enhance the effectiveness, accessibility, and credibility of its judicial branch, by strengthening the capacity for monitoring and evaluation aspects, through a participatory process involving judges, technical and administrative staff, and users of the judicial system. The components will: 1) strengthen the institutional management capacity of the judicial branch, through the provision of technical assistance (TA) for the design, and implementation of an integrated planning system, to facilitate decision making, improve administrative quality, and coordination, and reduce delays in user feedback. Procedures will be developed, training provided to judges, and administrative staff, and, updated equipment supplied, to develop information, and communication technology systems. An international grant resources management program will be developed, to centralize, and manage grant resources to modernize, and strengthen the judicial branch. Additionally, consulting services, training, and partnership assistance will be provided to link the judicial branch with the law and justice module; 2) modernize the court system, through TA, and investments to upgrade their efficiency, and resource utilization, and services, by developing a court re-mapping plan, strengthening the automated judicial, and administrative case management program.
