The values of sport are deeply rooted into the European culture thanks to do work of thousands of people across the continent. Just like the IOC President Thomas Bach said, ‘Only children playing sport or exercising can enjoy the educational and health values of sport’. Jigoro Kano, the founding father of judo has embedded eight moral codes: Friendship, Honor, Respect, Modesty, Politeness, Courage, Self-control and Sincerity. The objective of the project is to bring learning and the value of the moral principles of judo, through values-based coaching, to children by using the existing educational material based on the popular character of Professor Balthazar. Professor Balthazar, is the most successful project of the Zagreb School of Animated Film. Like every true professor, he is always ready to answer questions, solving extremely difficult problems, and is surrounded with books and friends. The objective will be achieved through three phases. Phase one is development of a methodical work model with targeted groups of children and selection of the clubs where the project will be implemented. Phase two is training of coaches and professionals through the judo clubs as partners by presenting the model and adapting it to the specificity of each partner. Phase three refers to implementing the project in partner countries as evidence of sustainability and quality with possibility to develop and expand the project. The main project outputs are training for judo moral code (for judo coaches and young judo athletes). The expected result is to increase quality in the work and practices of four judo organisations in teaching positive values through judo moral code. Project consortium is made of four judo organisations. Target groups are judo coaches and young judo athletes 7-14 years old. The project involves participants with fewer opportunities too.
