Description
Description | With the proposed minislate, Just a Moment, one of the most experienced and respected production companies in Lithuania, aims to develop four projects that reflect its continued commitment to innovation, international co-production and supporting both emerging and established filmmakers. The projects can be articulated as follows: • ANTONIVKA is the second feature film by emerging Ukrainian director Kateryna Gornostoi, whose debut feature film, STOP-ZEMLIA, was awarded in the Generation 14+ section at Berlinale 2021. ANTONIVKA is a dramedy that tells a story of love and loss and is set in post-war Ukraine, it was recently selected and participated at the Berlinale Co-Production Market 2024, and it was selected and is participating at Torino Feature Lab 2024. • THERAPIES is a 8-episode Lithuanian series that was created by Birutė Kapustinskaitė, who is co-writing the series with acclaimed Turkish writer Emine Yildirim. The series is a dramatic comedy that gives space, voice and agency to a group of six women who have recently been diagnosed with cancer and are confined to a single room, where they will have to figure out how to get along with each other and to navigate their personal highs and lows. It is a series that is filled with warm humour and tenderness, and it is being co-produced with In Good Company (Germany). • WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE YOU? is the 4th feature fiction film by Lithuanian director Lina Lužytė who boldly crafts a sweet revenge story that is told through the point-of-view of a 75-year-old Lithuanian woman who has reached her breaking point. It is a tragicomedy that is filled with black humour and has already received development support from the Lithuanian Film Centre, which enabled producer Dagnė Vildžiūnaitė to participate with the project at ACE Producer’s Workshop 2023-24. • MAGGOTS FOR BREAKFAST AGAIN! is a short animation film targeting pre-school audiences. |
