The Town is proposing renovating both levels of the community facility by expanding the bar area, replacing/installing several electrical items such as heaters, lighting, mini splits, and hand dryers, installing an "in-ceiling" speaker system. This would make the building more energy efficient, and more accessible for rentals. The Town would also replace an old leaning retaining wall entering the lower level of the building, and while doing so, make it accessible, as it currently does not meet accessibility requirements. Lastly, the construction of a walking track around the existing soccer field will allow children and seniors, and overall general public a safe place to walk year round, and enhance community events, programming, and all while promoting a healthier lifestyle through cardiovascular exercise.
